Soil Quality Annual Conference

The Heart of Maine RC&D holds an annual Soil Quality Conference featuring local, national, and international speakers on the topic of building soil health in a way that is practical, economical, and environmentally sound. We have featured Acres USA speakers like Gary Zimmer, Neil Kinsey, Arden Andersen, Dan Skow, and Joel Salatin.

There was no 2011 Soil Quality Conference because Heart of Maine is contemplating a larger, more comprehensive program. Plans for an "Acres East" sort of event are in the works with multiple speakers, trade show and book fair.
